The 115-year-old Dallas Ambassador Hotel has been gutted after it caught fire early on Tuesday morning.
Dallas Fire and Rescue were called to the building at around 1:30am to the historic, upon their arrival firefighters found the six-story building engulfed in flames. More than 100 firefighters attended the fire and used multiple ladder pipes, engine master streams and ground lines to try to put the fire out.
After several attempts to extinguish the fire, the building collapsed in stages leaving only the shell of the hotel.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, with Gano Street, Bellview Street, Browder Street, Griffin Street and Blakeney Street all closed today (Wednesday 29 May) as a result of the fire.
